The kitten will have a Veterinarian wellness check be dewormed and have his/her first (and possibly there second) 3-way immunization vaccination. To maintain the health of our cats and kittens, there are no visiting hours or tours of my home. Kittens are born at different intervals, so it is like a maternity ward at times.  New "parents" are welcomed to our home on the day of pickup, because by then, kittens have been inoculated.

Our breeders are checked for and free of FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency) We have never had these in our cattery. We take very good care of our Breeders and kittens.

We will send a sample of the food the kitten is eating and the vaccination record when you pick up your cat/kitten.

When picking up your kitten/cat you must bring a carrier.

We do offer a reduced price ($100.00) if you are buying more than one kitten/cat, or are a repeat customer.

 Rosebuds Siamese Cattery Contract

Cat/Kitten was purchased as a Pet____

Deposit:_______Final Payment:______Paid____

Purchaser agrees to following:

For kittens purchased  spay/neuter must be completed for registraton. Buyer will provide seller with written veterinarian confirmation of the procedure before registration will be released. I don't agree with early spay & neutering. Usually 5 to 6 months for a male and 6 months for female.

Seller agrees to provide the first kitten vaccination prior to completion of sale. Purchaser will be expected to provide any additional vaccination or veterinary costs that occur following the purchase of the kitten/cat.

It is strongly recommended that the kitten be quarantined from other pets for at least two weeks. Be mindful that the stress induced in an animal when going to a new home may cause symptoms of illness, including upper respiratory infection, to appear in an otherwise healthy animal.

Purchaser agrees to take the new kitten/cat for a vet check within 72 hours of purchase. If within that time the kitten is deemed unhealthy (by a vet) or has a congenital defect, seller agrees to replace the kitten, no cash refunds.

The kitten/cat is guaranteed against congenital defects for one year. Should the cat die within that time as a direct result of a congenital defect, the cat will be replaced only if an appropriate autopsy is performed by a licensed vet and vet's certificate is provided as proof of cause of death. A replacement will be made of a cat of comparable quality and value, as available, at the discretion of the seller. The purchaser is responsible for all veterinary costs. No Cash refunds.

Kittens are ready at 10/12 weeks (sellers discretion). We feed our kittens Life's Abundance dry food. Wet food should be offered at least once a day. Your new kitten will need plenty of socialization and affection. Siamese cats are extremely intelligent and require a good amount of mental stimulation (toys) nobody likes to be bored. Two kittens of the same litter do well together and will require less of your attention.

Health & Conditions: Our Cattery (as well as our kittens/cats) are negative for both Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). There is no way to guarantee against FIP.  Fip is a mutation of Feline Corona virus, over which there is much controversy between Vets, Breeders, Scientist and the general public. Most, if not all, multi cat households, will have been exposed to the Corona virus at some time. At this point there is no way to determine, which, if any, kitten may go on to develop FIP. Usually there is no development of this disease, and it's the rare few in which the virus mutates into the deadly disease. excellent article by Dr. Susan Little

Will not honor health guarantee if cat or kitten experiences any of the following:

*Is vaccinated against FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) or FelV (feline leukemia virus)

Firstly, the FIP and FeLV vaccines are considered controversial. Studies conducted at Cornell University indicate that both the FIP and FeLV vaccines were not effective and that it even accelerated the disease in 52.5% of exposed cats making them more susceptible to these diseases. Although FIP is a mutated form of the coronavirus, the FIP vaccine was only designed to protect against a small percentage of coronaviruses, and is therefore unlikely to interrupt virus mutation in susceptible cats. All coronaviruses are RNA viruses. RNA blueprints are carried as 1 or 2 spiral strands of RNA rather than the DNA information that some viruses contain. All RNA viruses have a high error mutation rate, making vaccines against them difficult, since they keep changing. Apart from endangering the life of your kitten, since any vaccine can potentially develop into the disease it was design to protect against, both the FIP and FeLV vaccines can compromise the immunity of a young kitten/cat. These vaccines are not necessary for the health of indoor kitten/cat who do not have repeated contact with other cats. Consequently, I will nullify the Health & Genetic Guarantee if your cat or kitten is vaccinated against FIP or FeLV after they leave my care.

*Cat or kitten is allowed to roam outdoors.

*Cat or kitten has been physically abused or neglected.

*Cat has been declawed.
